چکیده

Highlighting the nutritional benefit of oil gleaned from seed sweet orange Citrus sinensis has become necessary; owing to fact that is predominantly considered a waste. Therefore, aim present study was investigate benefits extracted family; Rutaceae, and order; Sapindales. A total 2.0 kg coarsely crushed seeds were immersed in 15 liters n-hexane for 72 hours batches with intermittent vigorous shaking further using soxhlet extractor. Other procedures analysis performed standard methods. The result revealed that, anti-nutrients levels found be within safe limit, vitamin minerals fell daily recommended intake limit. proximate composition contains; Protein 1.560±0.120, Moisture content 4.636±0.153, Fat 89.810±0.282, Ash 1.776±0.161, Crude fibre 0.619±0.052 Carbohydrate 1.614±0.036. Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) presence following fatty acid compounds; Linoleic 37.644%, Palmitic 28.051%, Isopropyl linoleate 12.699%, Pentadecanoic 9.652%, Stearic 5.839%, Butyl 2.867, Glutaric 2.616%. indicating it’s an excellent choice both industrial purposes.

Effect of different levels of dried sweet orange (Citrus sinensis) peel on broiler chickens growth performance

The trial was conducted to evaluate the effect of different levels of dried sweet orange (Citrus sinensis) peel on growth performance in broilers. A total of 400 male broiler chicks (Ross-308) were randomly allocated to treatments varying in supplemental DSOP. The dietary groups consisted of five diets fed for 42 days: control diet without feed additive, diet containing 1.5 % feed additive only...

Genome Wide Characterization of Short Tandem Repeat Markers in Sweet Orange (Citrus sinensis)

Sweet orange (Citrus sinensis) is one of the major cultivated and most-consumed citrus species. With the goal of enhancing the genomic resources in citrus, we surveyed, developed and characterized microsatellite markers in the ≈347 Mb sequence assembly of the sweet orange genome. A total of 50,846 SSRs were identified with a frequency of 146.4 SSRs/Mbp. Dinucleotide repeats are the most frequen...

Collection and Chemical Composition of Phloem Sap from Citrus sinensis L. Osbeck (Sweet Orange)

Through utilizing the nutrient-rich phloem sap, sap feeding insects such as psyllids, leafhoppers, and aphids can transmit many phloem-restricted pathogens. On the other hand, multiplication of phloem-limited, uncultivated bacteria such as Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus (CLas) inside the phloem of citrus indicates that the sap contains all the essential nutrients needed for the pathogen grow...

Transcriptome analysis of a spontaneous mutant in sweet orange [Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck] during fruit development

Bud mutations often arise in citrus. The selection of mutants is one of the most important breeding channels in citrus. However, the molecular basis of bud mutation has rarely been studied. To identify differentially expressed genes in a spontaneous sweet orange [C. sinensis (L.) Osbeck] bud mutation which causes lycopene accumulation, low citric acid, and high sucrose in fruit, suppression sub...

Response of sweet orange (Citrus sinensis) to 'Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus' infection: microscopy and microarray analyses.

Citrus greening or huanglongbing (HLB) is a devastating disease of citrus. HLB is associated with the phloem-limited fastidious prokaryotic alpha-proteobacterium 'Candidatus Liberibacter spp.' In this report, we used sweet orange (Citrus sinensis) leaf tissue infected with 'Ca. Liberibacter asiaticus' and compared this with healthy controls. Investigation of the host response was examined with ...
